Hi Angie I had radiotherapy after chemotherapy, I was ill with chemo but the radiotherapy was absolutely fine. Definitely have it. It all helps

Hi Angie I have had the very same - like an aside during the consultation with the oncologist. I thought perhaps it was because I asked them if the radiotherapy would kill off stray cells, and that was the response. Somewhat confusing. I've decided to go ahead with the radiotherapy, it's just 5 sessions so not arduous, I hope.

Hi Celadon5, the radiotherapy was a breeze. I just wore a full zipped fleece and no bra so didn’t have to bother with getting changed into dressing gown. So much easier and time saving. I would just whip it off while they were doing the name check etc. I was quite fatigued for a while after the final one but that passed. I do have radiotherapy pain now which came on about 5 weeks after and slight oedema in my operated breast so have to massage it daily. I have an appointment with the respiratory clinic tomorrow as there is damage to my lung. I’m not sure if this was a result of the radiotherapy or not, I will find out tomorrow. Don’t let me put you off as I would still have the radiotherapy despite free effects x
