Welcome to the forum Islawighter although I'm sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with womb cancer.

I know this must be a very scary time, and no doubt you're contending with a lot of emotions right now, but I'm glad you've reached out to us as our community will definitely understand what you are going through, so you are not alone, and I'm sure some of our members will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice.

We have some information about having a hysterectomy on our website but if you'd like to discuss this, or anything else that is playing on your mind, with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They are very insightful and will do all that they can to support you and address your concerns.

Im currently in quite a similar position to yourself. I had a hysteroscopy just before Christmas and was recalled in early January. I have been diagnosed with atypical endometrial hyperplasia. It’s been recommended that I have a hysterectomy. I had a CT scan last week and am currently awaiting the results to see if I have cancer elsewhere. I am also being tested to see if I have Lynch syndrome. 

its likely I’ll be having a full hysterectomy so will have the menopause issues like yourself. I’m about to turn 50 so I would be hitting menopause anyway but still scary. 

its all a bit terrifying so i understand what you are going through.
