I was told I have  a 5cm tumour in my lungs  last week and mine has already spread to my N2 lymph nodes , I have just turned 56. there is a chance it has spread out of my lungs just waiting to find out , over the last 2  weeks  I have  had pet scans, pulmonary function tests, full body CT scans  and a bronchoscopy for biopsies, I should get my full diagnosis next week before  my treatment plan is in place, I know how scary this ,  Do you have family and friends you can talk with ? I am extremely lucky I have a lot of support from my family and friends  , I have been honest with them  and told them about my diagnosis  as soon as my consultant  informed me  , I read through the cancer research website to get as much info as I could , for me the only way to get through this is to try and be positive, I am not ready to give up yet and trust the whole team involved will do whatever they can to get me through this along with the support of my family and friends , there is so much support on here read through the forum and try and stay positive you will get through this !
