I'm glad to hear that your husband has been given a surgery date but I can understand that you may have some concerns about this.
Please do get in touch with the clinical nurse specialist if you were given contact details for one, or alternatively, contact the consultant's secretary. They will be best placed to explain why this surgery has been classed as urgent and hopefully offer you both some reassurance.
