And my journey with SCC begins …

I have been diagnosed with SCC in my lymph nodes (neck) but no idea of where the primary site is yet. I’m fit and healthy so am feeling mostly positive with a small dose of worry and anxiety.  This is so much better than I was a few weeks ago when I was verging on hysteria most days.  I have a busy Xmas to look forward to and then an onslaught of more tests and treatment in the new year. I’m going to enjoy the next week and then face whatever I have to when I have to.  In the meantime if anyone is on a similar journey, I’d love to hear from you. And to everyone else out there fighting and to the lovely nurses supporting us, I hope you have a lovely Christmas - keep up the fight!! Xx

  • Hi celtictrace,

It sounds like you're dealing with things well, although I can completely understand your worries and anxiety.

We are always here for support on the forum whenever you may need it, and it's often helpful just to write things down - and also to reach out to others who understand. Hopefully you'll get some more replies here soon.

Hope you enjoy the busy-ness over Christmas.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
