Hello Lindsay, 

I hope that you are recovering well following your Mohs surgery and that you will hear from other members of our community who have had Mohs surgery before and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you. I've had a little look around the forum for other members who have had or were waiting to have Mohs surgery and found that ANYTHINGLISA had posted this thread a few months ago and was then waiting to have Mohs surgery for a BCC on their nose, so not quite the same issue but you could still benefit from talking to one another and sharing insights and experiences. 

Hopefully you will also hear from others who have been diagnosed with malignant melanoma on the ear and if you would like to talk to one of our cancer nurses about this, feel free to get in touch with them on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. 

It's normal to be concerned that a melanoma will come back and it might be a good idea in order to alleviate your fears to talk to your specialist about how worried you are feeling that it might come back. Your medical team will I am sure have the expertise to tell you more about how likely (or unlikely) it is for a melanoma to come back in the same place or another place after Mohs surgery.

Hi Lindsay / Lucy unfortunately am still waiting for my surgery its been 14 months! Frustrating as it’s on my face! Lindsay I believe the success rate if caught in time is quite high what is your skin type? Do you have lots of moles? Xx

im light skinned but wouldn’t class myself as fair. I have a few moles but not loads. It is in situ so it hasn’t spread just conscious it may develops elsewhere. 
Are you waiting for mohs surgery Lisa? What kind of skin cancer do you have? What’s your current situation?
