Hello smilinglady, oh poor you not smiling so much at the moment though judging from your avatar photo you do have a lovely smile and I hope that this is going to heal soon as I can understand why you are feeling fed up! 

I've noticed you have been in touch before with AngieT who knows quite a lot about melanoma and she or other members of our community may have some good suggestions for you. I think given you had the excision a while ago, it would be a good idea if you haven't done so already to get in touch with your medical team and ask them whether this is to be expected and what suggestions they might have. I hope you won't mind but I have also added some more information to your title so that your post can hopefully be spotted by others who have also had a wide excision to their shin before and they might have some good tips for you based on their personal experiences.
