found a lump in my left breast 25th October went to the doctors the following day, and he did an online referral when I got home the following day, the letters on my doormat
went into my hospital on Halloween. Had my first mammogram, then I was sent round to have an ultrasound done where they told me it wasn’t a cyst- I had to have two biopsies done, one in the breast and one in the armpit because I said I had two predominant lymph-node
They also inserted a clip, and then I had to go back round and have another mammogram done. After that I was taken into room to speak to a consultant. I had to get on dressed as she had a field and as I was getting dressed, she asked if anybody was with me today and I said no
So I asked her out right do you think it’s cancer and she said yes, the lump is a high suspicion
That’s when my world fell apart. The first thing I thought of was my kids, my job I had only just sorted out my life insurance.
Got taken into another room to speak to Breast nurse and she told me that my biopsies will be sent to be tested, and I’ve got to go back Thursday to talk about the plan of action
I am totally numb
