Just diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma

I have received a call from the consultant advising my biopsy is Squamous Cell Carcinoma on the sole of my foot. Informed I will see another consultant within 2 weeks and surgery approx 2 weeks after that with a skin graft. Absolutely petrified right now. Can anyone help me please? Thanks

    I'm sorry to hear that your recent biopsy results have returned as squamous cell carcinoma. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about this diagnosis. 

    We have some information on our website about skin cancer that may hopefully give you some reassurance but I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat things through with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can ahead of your next appointment with the Consultant. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Hi Jenn, 

    Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. Yes will do thank you. I am thinking of everyone else out there going through this rollercoaster of a journey and staying as positive as I can.
