Hi all, I’m 36. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer 3 years ago and had 26 rounds of radiotherapy. All was well until September last year when I noticed my walking was becoming unbearable. Turns out I have a tumour on my psoas muscle and I have stage 3c incurable metastatsized cervical cancer and currently on palliative chemotherapy. I am on carboplatin and paclitaxel and bevacizumab. I also have a metal stent in my kidney and bladder. I’m on Round 7 of chemo and I’ve had to stop as I’m ending up in hospital everytime, as the pain I get in my bladder is unbearable and no one can seem to work out why. I will have chemo and about 7 days later I’m incontinent, I have such a sharp pain in my bladder, I can barely walk, my heart races and I get sweats and I have to push my pee out like I’m giving birth. The drs said it’s not the chemo as this type of chemo doesn’t usually cause these types of symptoms. I’m checked for UTIS each time and it’s always negative and I never have any infection markers when I get it. I have a kidney scan soon to make sure that’s all working. I’m going to push for a bladder scan as there is definitely something not right with my bladder. I’m so scared I’m going to get sepsis. I don’t want to give up chemo as I’m fighting so hard for my husband and children to try have as much time as I can with them. Sorry for the long winded post, was just wondering if anyone has had any similar symptoms to this regarding the bladder pain. Thank you xx
