Waiting times

Hi I was diagnosed with Bowel cancer on the 28th of June. I have spoken to the consultant and had MRI and other tests. I have been given a surgery date for 30th October which means I will be 18 weeks from being diagnosed. I have been told that the MRI indicates stage 3 so I am very concerned about the waiting time. I live Ian South Wales.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation with the long wait for surgery, I can appreciate this is causing some concern.

    If you haven't already, it would be good to discuss this with your doctor/specialist when you can, to hopefully get some reassurance about it. Also I'm not sure if there is a cancellation list you could put yourself on in case anything is possible sooner.
