Robotic nerve sparing prostatectomy side effects

I have recently been diagnosed with Prostate cancer after a PSA test of 4.17 and Gleeson score of 3 + 4.

Urologist recommends robotic nerve sparing prostatectomy-but I am just as worried about the side effects as the treatment as the tumour is close to the nerve bundles apparently.

Has anyone undergone something similar and if so how did you get on?

    I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of prostate cancer. It's understandable that you have concerns about the surgery that your Consultant has recommended and any potential problems that you may have afterward. 

    I'm not sure that we have any members currently active who have had this surgery so I wanted to give you this link to a charity called Prostate Cancer UK.
