Sorry to hear about your dad, mine has been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer so I know a little how you feel but of course it’s a unique experience for anyone. I wish you all the luck. Have realistic optimism, it’s good he is otherwise healthy and remember the statistic seen online on cancer research uk are out of date by 5 to 10 years and cancer treatment has developed amazingly well in that time, which is surprising when there is so little coverage on it. It’s obviously hard to process for anyone involved in the situation and that’s okay just be there for him where you can and sometimes you need to tell yourself it is what it is.
Lung cancer is relatively common and it helps to talk to people who are going through the same situation so continue to reach out and search the forums for similar people.

It can be frustrating when they withhold information/ waiting for more. The few day waits can feel like months. Just try to keep busy the best you can.
