DFSP

Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with DFSP which is a really rare type of skin cancer which has been a lump on my back for 6 years now and I’ve always been turned away at the doctors about it but fi lly had some answers for it. I’m having the lump removed in a few weeks but I’m so terrified as there isn’t much information about this with it being so rare. I’m only 26 and have 2 children, has an ne else been completely cured by this once it’s removed? Sounds silly but I’m so scared I’m not going to live very long and my kids loose their mum. They are only 4 and 5 months old

thanks

Sarcoma UK has some information on its website about DFSP which will hopefully offer you some reassurance. They also have a specialist support line that you can call to talk with someone about your diagnosis.
