I'm about to have consultation for results of all the bc tests. Highly likely I have bc in left boob and will need a mastectomy. Fearing the worst.
What is best way to tell grown up kids and close friends?

That's the way to do it. There are helpful tips on sites about telling people too.
A diagnosis is so strange as I look well and feel well. (Do have a frozen shoulder though)
The first sign 3 weeks ago was the hard pea size lump in my left armpit. I'm so ashamed I never checked myself regularly. There's no history in the family. I have regular mammograms. Tomorrow is the big reveal and results from the CT scan, biopsies, nuclear medicine body scan, blood test and mammogram.
Sending you a hug xx Let us know how you get on x

Hello Renate, I think telling your children is the hardest part. I invited them over for a meal and told them , but I had caught it early and my husband and I are very positive . My son was quiet for a while trying to digest it ,my daughter got upset ,but chatting about it helped . I feel better being open about things . Good luck R
Thank you. I'll have to do it as a group video call as they don't live near me. Once I know the full diagnosis and treatment plan I'll tell them. At the same time don't want to be a burden. X

Hello Renate , more difficult when they are living further away but I think they would want to be involved and supportive of you . You won’t be a burden . Good luck
