I'm sorry to hear about your Mother's situation. it's obviously a very difficult time for you both. 

I'm presuming from what you've written that your Mum isn't ordinarily resident in the UK and is visiting you? If this is the case then that may be why she has been given the information that she has. If she is visiting you here in the UK then you can find out information on the NHS website about how to access services if you're visiting from abroad. 

If your Mother isn't a visitor to the UK and is registered with a local GP then do get in touch with them for some advice and support.
