Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3 breast cancer in April. Since then I've had an MRI, CT scan, and 2 biopsies. The CT scan showed a small something on my liver which they think is benign but I've to go for another MRI in 2 weeks time to check it. It also showed my lymph nodes were enlarged when previously they have been fine so I had an axillary biopsy for which I've still to get results.
Before I had the CT scan I was told a few weeks ago that I was getting a single mastectomy but weeks seem to fly in and while I'm not exactly jumping for joy at getting an op, it now feels like it is taking ages! Anyone else had same ? It seems every scan etc I get it takes a week for results then it shows up something else then more tests etc etc! Don't have a date for op yet either.
I know I'm not the only patient and staff have been excellent but all this waiting is very draining. My mind just thinks what if they pick up something else? Will my existing cancer get worse while I wait?
Just looking to see if anyone else feels same?
