I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of cervical cancer. It's understandable that you're struggling with anxiety and sleeplessness at the moment. 

It's good to hear that the CT scan showed that the cancer hasn't spread. IT can help to try and keep these positive points in mind, particularly on days when negative thoughts and emotions are close to the surface. Hopefully the MRI next week will give the team the final pieces of information they need to form your treatment plan and they will be able to tell you about the next steps. 

In the meantime I'd encourage you to reach out to your GP to ask for some support with the sleep issues. I'm presuming that your weight loss is due to a decreased appetite or nausea. If so then do talk to your GP about this as well as they should be able to support you with this. 

We know that for many people this period between diagnosis and treatment starting can be difficult. Often it can help to talk to someone about your concerns and how you're feeling. You might want to do this by contacting an organisation like Maggie's or you're welcome to call our nurses if you want to chat with them.
