My journey started on the 20th January 2023.After seeing my GP. With change of bowel habits, blood in stools, blood when wiping.I got the two week referral.Id had full bloods done, and stool tests,my GP was straight on it.Yes I had CT,MRI all in two weeks(both abnormal results,)then 8 weeks later colonoscopy..My area are using porta cabins (Remedy)to help get through patients.. unfortunately he did the colonoscopy but couldn't remove or do anything(bleeding too much)so four days later appointment with consultant, who told me they'd do it at hospital under local anesthetic,so 4 weeks later biopsy done,3 weeks later confirmed cancer. Now waiting for my treatment I have a 4.5 cm mass lower rectum,I've been told because low down no operation, but will need 5 weeks X5 days radiotherapy along side chemo.So...was expecting to hear yesterday, nope,so phoned my contact ,who says they'll chase it up(sounded like they are stalling for some reason)any way from Jan 20th..to now May 19th that's my story .Just incase anyone else is waiting for results or treatments just stay calm
