private ct Nhs treatment

Hello. Can anyone help me with getting my private ct scan to my hospital to start treatment and see a consultant ? I was fobbed off and knew I had cancer and went private for a ct scan which had confirmed. I don't have a consultant or any link to oncology as I was dismissed but I need chemo etc. do I got through my gp? I'm panicking about getting the scan to the nhs. Thanks

    A very warm welcome to our forum. 

    This is one of the problems of going private. You get your results quicker, but then you have to wait to get back into the NHS system. I am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with cancer and now need treatment. 

    My advice would be to see your GP as soon as possible and ask for a referral to the cancer clinic. The hospital who took your scan should be able to provide you with a copy of the scan they took, although you may find that the NHS will want to carry out one of their own.
