Usually Chemo will get started very quickly after you sign the consent - depending on the urgency of the chemo I guess
once you sign the consent form with the consultant they will put the wheels in motion to prepare the chemo but most likely will be waiting no more than a week
hope it all goes well
Hi, I think it will depend on availability in your chemo unit (you'll probably have a chair assigned for several hours if you're having IV infusions). My chemo started 5 weeks after diagnosis. I had a meeting with the oncologist and signed the consent forms on 24 August, echocardiogram and pre-chemo assessment (phone appointment) on 6 September, had a PICC line inserted on 7 September and started chemo on 13 September.
I wish you well with your treatment. You'll be well looked after.

Hi Ali7777
I also have a diagnosis of Follicular Cancer (low grade). I had formal diagnosis on 9 March and started chemo on 17 March . I started my second cycle of chemo yesterday . My treatment is "O CHOP".
It could be interesting to follow each others journeys? Let me know if you have any questions about my diagnosis, treatment etc.
