  • Hello Jazzybee98

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with ET. Undoubtedly this will be a worrying time for you as you take in the news that you're living with this chronic condition and think about how it may impact your life.

For many people, this period of uncertainty whilst waiting for appointments can be difficult and it's natural to feel anxious.

You might find it helpful to read through some of the posts on this thread and also this thread both of which have quite a number of members who are living with ET. I'd also suggest having a look at the information available on the Blood Cancer UK website. They also have some helpful information about fatigue

Between this diagnosis and caring for two small children, you're carrying a lot at the moment Jazz. Be kind to yourself and don't expect too much over the coming days and weeks whilst you adapt to the news.

I hope that you have a good network of family and friends around you that you can talk with but also don't be afraid to reach out for some support. Blood Cancer UK has a support line you can call and of course, you're welcome to call our team of nurses to chat things through if you'd like to. They're back in the office after the bank holiday weekend available on 0808 800 4040, 9 am to 5 pm.

I hope that som of this helps Jazz. Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on over the coming weeks.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
