Hi Starfish, I was told 14 days for biopsy results and they came back after 12 days. I hope you get a call soon letting you know - the wait is awful. Best of luck with it. 

Hi , were your results okay ?  I just rang the gp again they said nothing on their system. I he like five samples taken at the time of biopsy. 

Hi Starfish, my tumour is cancer and that's what it looked like on the ultrasound according to the doctor. They suspected mine wasn't a cyst or anything else benign so it wasn't a surprise and they did communicate that to me at the time of the biopsy so I was mentally prepared. Hopefully yours is something innocent. 

Hi , I hope they can treat yours and sorry to hear that.  
 If it takes longer to process does that mean it could be malignant ? They told me benign at biopsy but they said sending it for testing anyway so not sure how can trust that. Given he didn't want to do a ultrasound in first place as they thought initially it's a cyst lol.   I am going back to work next week and just hope I will have some answers that can tell managers what exactly is going on because for no doubt they be asking. 

Thanks very much Starfish. I think two weeks is pretty standard for biopsy results, good or bad, from what I've read on various forums and it is very hopeful that they thought benign at the biopsy. Fingers crossed that they confirm this in the next few days and you can get back to normal!

I Hope everything goes well for you. Hopefully they will contact soon. How did you find out at first ? With me it was a ct in a and e as was short of breath they thought had a clot in longs due to covid as d dimer is high. 

Oh, that must have been scary for you! Mine was picked up during a routine mammogram - just as well because I don't check for lumps. Lesson learned there! 

Aww wow. I think they should do mammograms for younger adults , had i not gone to a and e I would have never known. Only 32 .
