How long did you wait after a MDT?

Hi, I was recently in hospital with chest pain (I have had previously 2 heart attacks). When I was in A&E I had a chest X-ray that showed that my lymph node in my lung is englarged and pronounced. When I was in hospital I had a ct scan, when the results came back the drs where still unsure on what it could be. So after getting discharged they sent me for pet scan. That was on the 24th feb. I have called the nurses and they told me I was going to be discussed in the MDT meeting Monday 6th march. That waiting to find out has been very stressful and I was woundering how long did anyone else have to wait after there mdt meeting for results and a plan? Thanks sorry it's a bit long winded

    Hi Kelv, I think it will all depend on your hospital's policy and how busy they are, what day they have clinic(s) for the department, etc. In my case, I was told the breast unit MDT meetings were on a Tuesday afternoon and they scheduled my appointment for the following Tuesday morning, provided my biopsy results were back. The waiting is really stressful. All I can say is try to keep busy and distracted and I hope you get your appointment very soon. Going for a walk outdoors will really help lift your mood.     did they call you after the MDT to arrange a meeting or was it sent out in the post? Iv just been thinking no news is good news. But my head works over time, one minute thinking the best the next not.
