chest pain capecitabine

Hi I have been on capecitabine for 5 days first cycle woke with chest pain wife phoned 999 to me to the little hospital bloods ecg and chest xray ok sent home still getting chest spasms no one avaliable oncology to help me on Sunday do you thing its tablets

    I hope that you've been able to speak with someone today from Oncology who was able to give you some advice and reassurance about the sypmtosm that you've been experiencing since starting this round of treatment. 

    As you can see from the information we have about capecitabine, heart problems such as changes to your heart rate or rhythm, angina or heart attack are listed as rare side effects. Your wife did exactly the right thing in getting you to the hospital to have things checked and hopefully, with the right support from the specialists, the side effects may settle. But if you're worried at any point, don't be afraid to contact the hospital, Dr or emergency services for support.

    Hi thankyou for your reply had to call 111 pain in chest was intense ambulance came took me to hospital did not know if it was my blood clots chemo or heart been in a&e for 18 hours 10 people where waiting for bed was suppose to hane scan on heart nothing yet just gone to emergency assessment ward to monitor heart taken off chemo tablets until they know if heart exhausted

    I'm sorry to hear about all that you've been through these past few days. Hopefully now that you're in the hospital and off the medication things will settle and the team will then be able to discuss the best way forwards with you.
