Hello everyone, 

I was wondering if someone could offer some insight into what a self-paying patient would be looking at for a private breast cancer treatment. My mother has recently been disgnosed with breast cancer (three of her sisters had it and two passed away with it already).

I live in the UK but my mother does not. I want to bring her here for treatment. The process is a bit complicated. I have to find a private hospital who would take her on as a patient before I get the ball rolling with her visa application. Most private hopistals do take on international patients. My main concern is the cost and few hopsitals are willing to give me a guide price so I know what to expect. 

Our top priority for her treatment is a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery. If we can afford chemo and radiotherpay as well would be great. Otherwise she would have the surgery here and go back home for the rest of the treatment. 

Please share any experiences relating to such treatment and its cost in the private sector.
 
I also welcome any hospital recomendations. I live in Durham so looking for hopsitals in the North East.
