Hi,

The pain from your scar will be the nerves that were cut through at the WLE. It takes a long time for nerve pain to settle down I'm afraid. 

I know how anxious we become when we find a new lump etc but it's highly unlikely that the lump on your heel is related to melanoma. Lumps that are melanoma are usually due to enlarged lymph nodes and there are no nodes in the foot. Where was your melanoma? If it spreads, it does so through either the lymphatic system or the blood vessels. It tends to travel upwards towards the heart from the lower body (if melanoma was removed from the leg) or downwards (if it was in the head/neck/arm) towards the heart. It very, very rarely travels down to the foot or to the opposite side of the body. My melanoma, on my right shin, travelled to the nodes in my right groin and pelvis.

If the lump is still there at your next appointment, point it out to the consultant. Meanwhile, try not to fixate on checking yourself. Once a week or even once a month is best. Good luck,

Hey, I did read on Google (I know, naughty) that it could be scar tissue but GP is seeing me tomorrow, I think it's because of how anxious I am.

The melanoma was removed from my right shoulder xx

Just updating, I attended my appointment this morning and they referred me to a same day X-ray appointment. Said it "didn't look right" and that they'd be in touch in the next few days.
