im so scared

  • Hi.

It's natural to be scared. Cancer is such a scary word and we all automatically fear the worst. Remember there are so many different kinds of breast cancer and the treatment they have now is so amazing , alongside the care you will receive. The waiting for results is the hardest part but try not to google anything , it's out of your control now. You can deal with things when you know for definite. I ve had 6 rounds of chemo , mastectomy and radiotherapy in the last 18 months and it really can be done in a positive way. Always happy to chat and pass on some advice if needed. Stay strong , be brave. You ve got this xx

  • Hi Louise

    a very warm welcome .

I was in your position in July , yes I was scared angry feared of the unknown.

I have had 2 operations and radiotherapy everything was finished nov 4 th .I'm now living back to my normal life as if it never happened.it happened and it's like woah did that really happen to me .

the part where you are is the worst part once you have your official diagnosis and treatment plan you will start to relax , Brest cancer is so much very treatable, I did have good and bad days but I stayed strong stayed at work kept things as normal as possible and that part worked for me . Reach out to us here if you need a chat we are all here for you .

  • Thank you - it's lovely to hear from you & I am so sorry that we have to face this, I take strength from reading about your journey

I'll post again when I know my treatment plan

  • Thanks for replying - it makes me feel that I can do this

  • Hi Lloouuiissee

Sorry to hear your news and like the others who have replied on here, I am recently diagnosed.  I had my 2nd chemo yesterday and my moods are all over the place so please accept that this is normal.

The chemo itself isn't bad, it's just a bit boring for me, so take something with you to keep you occupied like a book, magazines or a Kindle.

Do some relaxation exercises (there are tons online) and practice your breathing techniques.

If you need to spout off or have a chat, please message me on the messenger thing on here.  I'm here for you, as are the other lovely people in this group.

    Sueby xx

  • Thanks I have sent a friend request - my boyfriend is supportive but I think chatting to your ladies on here is so valuable & I truly appreciate your time & advice xx
