Pathological Breaks & lung cancer

Hi all,

my husband has sadly recently been diagnosed with primary lung and secondary bone cancer.
as yet we have no information or plan in place and were advised that the MDT meeting was today.

he has 2 pathological breaks in his arm and we are desperate to know what , when and how soon the arm can be repaired?

how soon should we hear back from someone? These past ten days have been torturous since going into hospital with what we thought was a torn bicep?

any advice would really be appreciated right now x

Thank you

  • Hello EmB50

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's recent diagnosis. It's obviously a difficult time for you, especially whilst you're in this period of waiting for more news.

Hopefully, you've had some contact with the team since the MDT on Wednesday even if just to arrange an appointment to discuss things. It can sometimes take a week or so to hear back following an MDT meeting but given that your husband has some breaks that need to be addressed, I would hope that you'd have news sooner rather than later. Don't be afraid to call the hospital for an update if you've not heard anything.

If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses for some advice and support you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Keep in touch and let us know how you're both doing.

    Best wishes,
