Hiya , not sure which type ur having . I had 3 sessions of FEC and 3 sessions of T. It really was nt that bad and it can be got through , take the sickness meds they give u as u can feel very nauseous , drink loads of water to flush it out and I felt much better for coming back from the hospital and getting straight into bed and sleeping it off until the next day. Keep active and go for walks. Not sure how u feel about ur hair but I used the cold cap and kept 60% of my hair which made me feel so much better about myself , positive attitude. !!! Buy some coconut oil and swish ur mouth with it 3 times a day for a couple of minutes, stops mouth ulcers. They re my tips , sending u lots of love. U can do this xx

Welcome to the forum ,it's a place that can really help answer a lot of questions you may be having running through your mind as having your first chemotherapy session is daunting,as it really is the fear of the unknown.
But my first advice is to take any anti sickness pills that you may be given before your chemotherapy session. They are fantastic, they really helped me,I only felt a bit queesey once, and was never sick. I also had steroids flushed through before my chemotherapy, and that made me feel very hungry,I wasn't expecting that lol.
But the best advice I got from one of the chemotherapy nurses was that it's best to never ever listen and compare anyone else's experiences with thier chemotherapy sessions, with your own ,as all.our bodies react differently to different medications, for example some people can take cocodamole, ibubrofen etc and are fine with it and some people can't,as have to many side effects, and it's the same with all the different chemotherapy drugs ,what you may be fine with someone else may not, and vice versa. Its such good advice so never sit there while having your first chemotherapy session thinking the worst ,you may find it easier than you thought, I know this was the case for me,I think id got it into my head that I'd feel so ill having to have chemotherapy, i was petrified lol , but if I'm honest the first one was no where near as bad as I'd imagined.
The first four I had was EC, the second four was a taxol Chemotherapy drug,The first one was paxitaxol, it didn't agree with me,I had an alergic reaction to it,but it was stopped ,I was sent home, it wsnt for long that I felt ill,I soon started to feel OK again after a few drinks of cold water. The chemotherapy staff are on the ball and really look after you .The first chemotherapy session I had a member of the chemotherapy nurses stay and sit by my side to reassure me about it all. I was then a week later , after I had the alergic reaction, put onto a different Taxol chemotherapy drug for the final three. It wasn't great but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle either.
I had eight rounds of chemotherapy, I got through it,had fifteen rounds of Radiotherapy, and got through that too. At most it makes you feel tired, and a bit bloated but it really is do able .if you have any concerns ,do disscuss this with your oncologist, I'm sure they will also put your mind at rest.
Oh another tip is take a tablet or a kindle , or book with you and a few snacks and some bottled water . I listened to music, and played candy crush it helped the time to go quicker. You do get offerd a cup of tea,and sometimes a sandwich if your chemotherapy session is around lunchtimes. But not always guaranteed. Good luck with it all
Not sure what chemotherapy you are having I had five months of it. It's tough at times but ok fear of the unknown. I use to have a bath Epsom salts. Drink plenty of water try to get up and about the nurses in the chemo suite we're wonderful and I met some amazing people take care all the best x
