newly diagnosed breast cancer - feeling super tired!

hi everyone

i just got diagnosed 4 days ago. I found a lump around 4 weeks ago, got a biopsy and it came back cancerous (even though they had predicted it was benign). The consultant said from initial ultrasound it looks like it hasn't spread to my lymph nodes so fingers crossed. I am gojng for an MRI today then have CT mammogram and ultrasound tomorrow. Then I will have my final results on 23rd.

I am trying to remain as positive as possible. And contain my anxiety as much as I can!

I have been feeling super tired all week since I found out - I never normally sleep this much. I felt fine before the diagnosis so I can't imagine the symptoms coming on so soon.

Has anyone experienced similar? And if anyone has any anxiety tips please send them on. Really grateful for this forum already knowing there's so many people like me going through this x

  • Hi,

I was diagnosed this time last year, I had a lumpectomy, Chemo, and Radiotherapy I had invasive Ductal Carcicoma, Oestrogen Positive, Lymph node clear, stage 1 Grade 3 Her2-. I'm 38 with two sons, it was a complete shock as the Doc told me it was a Cyst.

One year on I had my last chemo on the 24th April and Radiotherapy in May, I'm not on hormone tablets called Anastrole and prostap injections.

I used the cold cap so kept some hair and I have started too feel like me again.

I slept a lot I was soo tired, I would have to have an afternoon nap, I think it was mostly because I couldn't sleep in the night as I was so worried.

I think it's normal to feel Fatigue. I wish you well, you've got this xxx
