My husband was sent under the two week rule regading a lump in his neck, so far he has seen a consultant from ENT who organised blood tests, and a scan guided biopsy, he then was rung a week later just prior to going for a dye contrast MRI to be told he has cancer in the lymp node in his neck and to proceed with the MRI, as you can imagine the news over the phone was a bombshell and I am still in disbelif that a consultant has told him this information over the phone while he was alone with no support, He has now had an appointment for a PET scan next week but as yet no appointment with any consultant so we are just in limbo we dont even know what type of cancer he has or how bad it is. I am not sure what to say or do for him.
Has anyone else had this where they are rung with a diagnosis but given no follow up appointment with a specilist ??
