So sorry to hear this. I'm on the 2ww for suspected uterine cancer now myself. Hope everything works out well for you x
Just wanted to see how you are xx I’m 18 months past diagnosis, really hard at the beginning but if I can help with anything xx even if just to listen
Hello, I was diagnosed with Stage 1A serous endometrial cancer a few weeks ago; I have had a hysterectomy and start chemo next week. I was lucky to have laprascopic surgery so my recovery has been amazing. I'm now keen to start the chemo and get it over with.
Just realised I sound very matter of fact! I think I've surpressed my feelings for the time being.
How did you get on with your tests, biopsy results did it come back hopefully negative (the thing we hope fore ) x
Thank you for asking Mario11, Up until a week and a half ago I was doing A ok pushing and squashing things to the furthest part I could in my brain until my in-laws came to visit and they were speaking to me about it, unfortunately that night and afterwards I was trying hard to squash it away but it's ugly determined head just won't "F" OFF unfortunately I have had an couple of wobbles and crying moments especially after my 2 scans on Monday 31st October 22 as these made the Issue more real.
Can I ask you " what stage and treatment you have had up untill now" as well as how you and your family are coping with this diagnosis 18 months on. X
Hello Gillymot, Thank you for sharing your experience with me, how long ago were you diagnosed and how long from MRI & CT scan was it before your meeting with the consultant to discuss the stage 1 and if it were A or B and your operation
I have had my CT & MRI done on 31st October 22 I had also had to chase up to find out who my nurse specialist was and that job has been achieved I am constantly nackered my brain will not shut off or just "F" off maybe once I find out what the hell is going to be done I will feel in control again as I hate being not in control of my own body and the decision I will have to reach very soon.
It sounds great that you have had a positive journey and soon your chemo will start, this is usually how I am but at present I think the actual shock has hit me as I had lost my sister to breast cancer a few years back plus auntie's and uncles to this *** thing called cancer please keep in touch and let us know how things progress x
Hiya, nice to hear from you, have they graded you or is this what the scans were for ?? I was originally 1a grade 2, but after hysterectomy went upto a grade 3, even though more aggressive I only had 4 brachytherapy as they saw no signs of spread.
If I'm honest I considered myself one tough woman till got diagnosis, I fell to pieces, many many cry moments, 18 months on I'm stronger but it never leaves my brain, not sure how to get good mental health back if honest, but I'm stronger then I was so getting better right !! U feel exactly how you need to feel whatever u need to get u through xx
Hi ya nice to hear from you so quick sorry it's taken so long, unfortunately we were going through a nightmare of a time and still are until our daughters biopsy results come through in another week or 2 Alysha is 25 had her left ovarie, tube and 12cm cyst which was lodged/ jammed in the middle causing issues with peeing, pooing, walking removed on 14th October 22 ( same week I was diagnosed) plus the momentum scraped and flushed for cancer cells and her right ovarie, tube and appendix checked for signs of cancer so Alysha is recovering from that and Dad and I are awaiting results and to Knock it off her nurse specialist has never been involved yet but I will tell you about that as you couldn't make it up if you tried all this as her CT & MRI scans showed suspect areas within her cyst.
All I know is I have stage 1 cancer which came as a bloody shock because the first consultant couldn't manage to get a biopsy so 2 weeks later the second consultant used a wee camera and flushing water to see my 27mm womb lining plus she seen polyps but said that everything looked healthy as usually if you have cancer things crumble away when taking the biopsy (but not in my case)so I was informed to call her secretary if I didn't her by 3 weeks which I did and received my results over the phone which was my choice as I thought nothing was wrong so been chasing my tail since .
So 1a grade 2 is that into the mucel or just in the lining, so why after your hysterectomy did it go to grade 3 and what is brachytherapy, you have been through it then how are you and the family coping, can I ask what age you are and what sent you to the GP in the first place.
To be honest with you Mario I really think good mental health after this type of shock not only to your mind and body is hard to get back to ware it was in the first place probably due to the stress of worrying about the family and how they are coping, as for getting through this without being scathing is a miracle in its self
Oh blimey your having rough time of things, to have one of your daughters going through this much must be absolutely awful, throwing yours on top no wonder your having trouble trying to hold things together. My thoughts are with ur daughter that all results come back good xx
I'm 58, was having problems with bloating upper abdominal pains then had 1 bleed in menopause, I thought maybe I had ulcer and instead got cancer. Diagnosed feb hysterectomy March brachytherapy in May (internal radiation). Fast non stop hospital appointments. After hysterectomy they send body parts to histology to double check things and they found some clearcell hence grade 3...
