Petrified of brain tumour

Hi,

Just looking for some comfort and advice. I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma 10 years ago. I managed to get through it. 2 weeks ago I had a bad fall at work and was knocked unconscious and suffered major concussion. The A&E did a CT scan and the results came back that there was no damage from the head injury but they have found a tumour on the brain and calcification. They haven't informed me of anymore details yet and I'm petrified. Trying to contact my doctor is an absolute nightmare and I just feel so alone.

  • Hi just wanted too reach out, I didn't have a brain Tumor but breast cancer, the feeling you have is so Scary, the not knowing is the worst. I hope you can make contact with someone soon who can tell you what's happening.

treatment is so advanced now, imagine if you hadn't of fallen you wouldn't know about it.

    Stay strong xx

  • Thank you, its so nice to hear from others. Are you still under going treatment or recovered? It is the not knowing and being told but then feeling left in the dark waiting for an appointment. Xx

  • Yes I can appreciate that, your right it's the not knowing, and your mind can run away with thoughts that aren't always the nicest, you really need too find out what they are going to do next. Make sure you ring your GP or even Hospital tomorrow, they can't leave it like this., I have just finished a year of treatment and am feeling ok now, my scan is in November, but I had it removed last November.

Once you know what your dealing with and the plan you will be able too digest it all better, at the moment you have no answers. Stay to the light xxx
