Stomach cancer

Hi everyone , my husband has been diagnosed as having stomach cancer with 8cm tumour .

he's going to have 2 months of FLOT then a ct scan to see if it can be operable , then is op goes ahead another 2 months FLOT after .

he's just had his first chemo last tues , today Friday he has pins & needles in his hands & had a bout of diarrhoea but apart from feeling extremely tired , is there any one on here that the side effects weren't to bad please

  • Hello Linhen and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm sorry to hear your husband has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. This must be very difficult but fingers crossed the chemo is successful in shrinking the tumour so it can be operated on.

Hopefully some of our members who have had FLOT chemo as part of their treatment will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if either of you would like to discuss this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I hope your husband doesn't experience too many more side effects, but if you're concerned do be sure to let his cancer team know so they can make this more manageable.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
