Stage 3 would be the stage for cervical cancer spread to lymphnodes, so that is correct. But the main treatment would usually be radiotherapy, supported by chemo-and chemo drugs for cervical cancer are given by IV, not orally twice a day. It could be with stage 3 that there is a period of stronger chemo first, prior to chemoradiation with different chemo. But in 4 years of dealing with this cancer I've never heard of daily oral chemo being used. I know hundreds of women who hav3 gone through this cancer and all have had chemo via IV in hospital. 

This is an advanced stage of cervical cancer, so she must have had a lot of hospital appointments? And if she's apparently taking a drug twice a day, you'd think she'd know the name of it. 

Hi Jobazz, it's a very difficult situation because the cry wolf thing will not have helped matters. If your sd has got cervical cancer she must be feeling quite anxious and will be looking for support so a dilema for you and your wife if she is crying wolf. As ProfBaw says in his comment treatments come in many forms. Mum had a topical cream for Bowens disease, a type of skin cancer on her lower leg (all well and good now). I had radiotherapy many years ago for a tumour. However I don't know what the treatment options are for cervical cancer, maybe depends on type and stage.

The thing with cervical cancer is that the treatment is very standard with little variation other than tweaking of treatment plans for individuals. Treatment absolutely does depend on stage, but most of the different types of cervical cancer are treated in the same way. It's very different from the options for breast cancer treatment for example.
 

Chemotherapy for cervical cancer is given in cycles, either weekly or 3 weekly, not daily, and by infusion, not tablet. I am speaking from my experiences of going through advanced cervical cancer, so I am aware of the treatment options available. 

Thank you. I have researched it a lot hence my post, and they all say the same thing, iv chemo, is given for cervical cancer, not oral.

I find it really sad that you're even faced with asking the question, and it would be awful for someone to lie about this. Unfortunately it does happen, although I can't for the life of me understand why.

Having advanced cervical cancer is a horrific experience I wouldn't wish on anyone, but I hope you can get some sort of resolution to what is a difficult situation for your family.

I'm doing pretty well all things condsidered, thank you, so I'm glad to still be here, albeit with some major life changes! Radio and surgical is a lot to cope with too, so hope you are well and never have to experience anything else as regards treatment. xx
