Hi could I ask what your symptoms were? I've had a lump in my groin for 4 years and recently I've had this awful feeling it's cancer and after reading up I think it's lymphoma, going to book a dr appointment I'm just so worried, Hope you're well x
Yes i have a low grade Non-hodgkins Lymphoma. Mine is known as a Maltoma. Apparently I have had it for years. If you dont have any health problems with it then its unlikely that they will start any treatment. I was on 'Watch & Wait' for years until the lump in my lung was causing me pain. I have recently finished a round of chemo (R-CVP) and the lump has reduced, although I am not in remission. I am now pain free so they arent too worried anymore. Apparently it has now spread to my bladder (waiting for tests to confirm this), but they wont do anything until it becomes an issue and then i will get some more treatment (probably chemo again).
I have been told to think of it as a chronic health problem that will last years.
It is a wory, whatever the doctors say, but I am now trying to get some persepctive on it, and continue to live my life. There are some good websites out there like lymphoma action.
