New to this

Hi everyone. I may be jumping the gun but today I've been to the docs as I found a lump on my breast. I've now been referred for a mammogram, biopsy and bloods within 2 weeks.

I am very scared. I'm 41 and have an 8 year old child.
sorry to burden but need someone to talk to x

  • Hi

if you've found a lump you've done the best thing by having it looked at and treated. It is a worry until you get the results. It doesn't necessarily mean it's cancer and if it is there are plenty of us on here to give support. I was diagnosed with Ductal breast cancer in 2019

    wishing you all the best

  • You've absolutely done the right thing. This is as me 4 weeks ago. I'm also 41 with a 15yo.

Not to worry you, as most lumps turn out to be 'other things' but I've just had my cancer diagnosis. Stay positive. Whatever it is or isn't, you can get through this! X

  • I have had many two weeks referrals to breast clinic over the years as l have breast duct problems, swelling. Breast lumps, pain.  Ive had various operations and it is worrying until the results come back, or the mammogram is clear, there's lots of people in Breast clinic that don't have cancer.  I hope you have a similar outcome. Take care
