Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your wife - I can certainly understand your mix of emotions and I'm sure things are feeling difficult.

The medical staff do try to be supportive, but also realistic, so hopefully their attitude is a good thing.

It's hard for those not involved in the care to give any expectations or similar, but you can always use this forum for support whenever you need it. It's often helpful to write things down and to reach out to others.
