Skin cancer waiting times

Hi; I wonder if someone could help.  My dad got skin cancer diagnosis on 10th June... he was told he needs 2 operations but as of yet he says he hasn't heard anything.. . No follow-up... nothing... does that seem right in the current  climate?... the NHS has so much to deal with I can understand timescales may slip.

    I'm sorry your dad hasn't heard anything since he found out he had skin cancer last month. As you mention in your post, the NHS are still under a lot of pressure, but as it's been over a month since your dad was diagnosed maybe you and/or your dad can get in touch with his GP to see if they can find out what's going on and chase this up for you.

    Hopefully some of our members will share their experiences and advice with you soon as well but if you or your dad would like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Fingers crossed your dad gets some information through soon and his operations go well when the time comes.
