It's good to hear your margins and lymph nodes are clear NannyTanny although I'm sorry that some unusual cells have been found in the tumour.

This must be a very anxious time but our community are here for you and hopefully some of our members who may have contended with similar will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

Hi there. I had a grade 3 breast tumour with clear nodes but had vascular invasion this means that in some cases the cancer can erode the blood vessels. After surgery  and removal of the tumour it was sent away for the oncotype test done which is specific to ER positive node negative type of tumour, it was the pathology after surgery that shown the vascular invasion  not my MRI which I also had done prior to surgery.

Hi I had surgery first then chemo then radiotherapy and I'm on hormone tablets now. I am 58 and post menopausal so yr menopausal status determine what hormone tablet you receive for ER positive  tumours.

I believe there is no set protocol to treat vascular invasion it tends to be determined by the medical oncology consultant as I have heard on here that some don't get chemo for this, I think it depends on the oncotype test, mine was 35 should have been be,ow 25 not to have needed chemo as I am post menopausal it's a lower score needed if pre menopausal x

Hi yes I am currently cancer free after all the treatment. I go for a mri in November and a mammogram in December. The only reason I am having an MRI is that the mammogram didn't pick up lump but should have as I could feel it on the day and actually shown the lady who did the mammogram so they have agreed to do the MRI which I am over the moon about. They said that unfortunately my body has the ability to hide the lumps! 

Anyway I'm done now! Just picking my life back up as best I can.
