Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Belleelise although I'm really sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with breast cancer again and this time a rare kind.

I want to put you in touch with one of our regular and very helpful members [@Jolamine]‍. She was diagnosed with mucinous breast cancer 12 years ago, has had a lumpectomy and a double mastectomy when there was a reoccurence so she will definitely understand what you will be going through at the moment and will be able to offer much support, insight and advice.

Hopefully you will hear back from Jolamine soon but in the meantime, if you'd like to discuss your diagnosis and treatment with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very knowledgeable and will do all they can to help.

Hi, Steph, thank you very much for your response. I live by myself and am feeling very alone at the moment so it would be good to speak to someone e who understands what I am going through. I have a CT scan tomorrow and do not know what to expect or how to prepare for it as I haven't recieved an sppointment letter yet; I'm feeling extremely anxious. 

I'm sorry you're feeling so alone at the moment Belleelise.

I'm sure Jolamine will get back to you when she can but if you use the search forum option in the purple bar above you can search for and chat with others who are also on this journey. Our community are very welcoming and supportive so don't be afraid of joining in on any other discussions you find.

I hope this information we have about the CT scan will help you feel more prepared for tomorrow but do give our cancer nurses a call on the number I gave you in my previous post if you have any questions or would just like to talk things through with them as they are very friendly and will support you in any way they can.
