Hiya. Sorry it's taken a while to reply. Treatment takes over your life. 
I'm about to have my 4th round of EC then I'll be halfway through. My tumour went from 5.2cms to 2cms after the first round, oncologist was shocked when she examined me. I've just had an MRI & not got the results back yet but I can't feel the tumour anymore. Did your tumour shrink quickly? 
I'm getting through it, chemo is brutal, lost my hair which was very emotional but now it's gone it's easier. Sorted my constipation & managing to control diarrhoea. Two superficial clots in my lower arm from first chemotherapy when I didn't have a PICC line. 
Did you have different side effects with the targeted chemo?

Good to hear from you Suger-Plum. The treatment is brutal but it saves our lives. The first half of the chemo had did not shrink my large tumour at all, but when the drugs changed to the targeted ones it did shrink a bit. I am so glad to hear you had such a big response. The targeted chemo had different side effects but they were just as bad. Insomnia was one of them, and when you have not slept at all for a week you feel like death. I finally got sleeping tsblets, but they did not always work.

The hair is very emotional and it really undermines ones sense of self and identity. Now three months after finishing chemo I have about 1 cm of soft hair regrowth. I have healed well after the mastectomy. The tumour was far to big for lumpectomy to be an option. i will be starting radiotherapy soon. All the best for the next stage of your journey.
