New to this - just received a third cancer diagnosis

Hi I have joined this forum after just being diagnosed with cancer for the third time.  I am fortunate that they are all primary cancers but I am struggling with the latest diagnosis.  So in 2010 I had cancer in my right breast, in 2018 had bladder cancer and just finished 21 BCG treatments this January so was looking forward to moving to the monitoring stage.  Then 2 weeks ago had it confirmed now have cancer in left breast.  Being told it is hormone fed which I don't understand as when had previous breast cancer they pushed me through the menopause early to stop the hormones.  Anybody else been through something similar.

  • Hello Rhu

I'm so sorry to hear about your most recent breast cancer diagnosis. It's obviously a very difficult time and more so given that you've only just recently finished treatment for bladder cancer. I can understand that you would have been looking forward to some sense of normality again.

I know that we have had members here on the forum who have been diagnosed with primary cancer more than once. Hopefully some of them will post to share their experiences with you soon.

Has the team talked you through the proposed treatment plan for this new breast cancer diagnosis? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for things to get started. In the meantime, if you want to chat with our team of nurses then you're welcome to give them a call. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support that they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Rhu and let us know how you're getting on.

    Best wishes,
