Hi newly diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma came to england as a student in February but some how got surprised of Hodgkin lymphoma in April. Now going for hope for the best.

May I ask what was the first steps to be diagnosed? I have had swollen lymph nodes for 6 weeks, they are sending me for an ultrasound within the next two weeks but I thought the only way to see if it was lymphoma was to do a biopsy?
Hi, I had Hodgkins lymphoma. It showed as a lump in my neck. I had a biopsy so they could grow the culture to see what it was. Yes it was cancer. As the lump had grown a bit too quick for oncologists liking between the biopsy and the next check up, they got me in for first chemo ASAP.
Ended up having chemo and radiotherapy.
But nearly 18 years later, I'm still here and have been cancer free. My last check up was 2010 and no problems (that way) since. Sadly the cancer experience has got to me mentally, I find I'm more shy than I used to be.
