Cancerous cyst in armpit

I found a lump in my armpit a couple of months ago. Size of a large grape. Was able to move it around. Not painful just a little uncomfortable. Blood tests clear. Ultrasound,  mammogram and biopsy.  Mammogram was clear but, found out yesterday that the biopsy has shown it's a cancerous cyst. She said basically I have cancer but, they don't know what type and why or if it is anywhere else. Will be having a CT scan and MRI in rhe next two weeks.

Has anyone else had anything like this? What happened???  I am freaking out!!! I have two young children. I can't go anywhere .  I have no symptoms of anything else going on. In fact I'm fitter and healthier than I have been for years! Does this mean, whatever it is, we've spotted it early and they will whip it out and all will be well??

I'm barely holding it together right now

  • Hello,

I had a lump in my right breast and had surgery and treatment. I felt fine too so it was a shock when I found out it was cancerous. The CT and MRI will give the specialists more information and they will decide on your treatment. You are in the best hands and things will move really quickly. Wishing you all the best
