Hi. Try not to fall down the route of imaginings, so much time is wasted to fear and hope. Now, while it is all unknown qnd stressful, there is no confirmed diagnosis so try and breathe deep and get busy doing things you enjoy. I know it's a horrible limbo state to be in at the moment and thoughts can go racing. Catching malignant moles in their localised state has a 99% survival rate. Try to step away from Dr google. You have done the right thing getting them checked thinking of you cheering you on and hope you get answerrs soon x

Hi, thank you for your reply.  Dr Google is evil I swear. I will be avoiding in future. I'm just panicked as I've got a few that are not symmetrical or one colour, so I'm panicking myself.. as this appointment I'm waiting for is only to remove one of them. I'm going to try to forget about it until my appointment,  but would you advise getting the others looked at in the meantime or leaving them for now?

I had 3 moles removed 5 weeks ago and still waiting for the biopsy results. I know how you feel and Google makes you think all sorts of things. You are doing the right thing and just mention the others at your appointment.  

Try not to stress too much although I know that's easier said than done.

I had mine removed and I was diagnosed with Stage 1a melanoma I knew within the week of it being removed and i had a second op (WLE)  and another removed which was fine as was the results from the WLE. You have done the best thing and I am now being checked on every 3 months and I've also had mole mapping done as I have loads of moles! It is scary and worrying but you are in the process and hopefully it will all come back clear. Please stay in touch as I am 5 months down the process, feeling great, I've got my first appointment for my checks tomorrow and i do obstacle course racing so ive got my first race next weekend!!! Which I've been out of the game for a while on total rest but I'm raring to go!

I'm scared that my children will grow up without me, I'm scared that this means my entire life has changed. I've not even had a confirmed diagnosis yet, just that the derm has said the mole is very consistent with melanoma, I've since found others that look exactly the same. I'm so freaked by it all. Your story has given me so much positivity though so honestly thank you. And good luck with your run ! X

This is where I am now with the paranoia, the mole that was melanoma no one thought it was going to be from the Dr i initially saw right down to the hospital but because I had noticed the change they wanted to air on the side of caution, the one they removed from my back looked well dodgy but that came back clear!!!! How i see it now is its a warning, ive always been a sun worshipper, im outside alot and I feel like I've had a 2nd chance I've just got to think differently, im embracing the pasty vampire look! stay strong, stay positive and I wish you all the luck in the world, and I'm here if you have any questions xxx

The paranoia is the worst isn't it! 

See I'm the opposite, I've never been one for spending a lot of time in the sun, and I've used a sunbed once or twice in my entire life, so its a big shock that this has been suggested to me to be honest. 

I'm so stressed today as its been a week since my dermatologist told me that it could be melanoma and it needs removing asap, and I've just called to find out if there is any news on a date to have it removed, and they have said an appointment has been made for me for the 22nd of May, I am absolutely devastated as everything I have been told about this condition is that it can become deadly in a matter of weeks, so to wait for another 4 weeks to have it removed is just terrifying, I know that I'm going to be a bundle of anxiety until then :(
