Scared

Hi, just writing on here as I need to clear my head.

I am 36 years old and been struggling with fatique since july last year which was originally classed as Long Covid.

I have had several different types of blood tests and was always no issue till last Thursday.

I had a telephone call from my GP asking me to sit down as she had some news. My last blood tests have come back showing a high chance i have myeloma blood cancer. Once she said the word cancer my world ended there and then, i have only been married 9 months, How can i expect my wife to deal with all this as well within her first year of marriage.

Waiting for a urgent referral to Hematology for further tests but absolutely petrified of the future prognosis, length of time I have left, thoughts i never ever thought I would have in my 30's.

Would appreciate any tips or advise out there.

  • So very sorry to hear about your blood results.  The cancer word sure is a mind altering thing.   Sharing all with your wife will help.
