worried - husband dealing with a second cancer diagnosis

Good morning all. my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2013, went in and had his kidney removed., got nthrough that, all seemed ok but then blood in the urine started again, he had chemotherapy, for 6  weeks which seemd to help. he had camera every few months to check, in between he had a quad bypass. got through that then diagnose with copd. seems to be one thing after another. then we move forward tp december last year and saw blood in his urina agan. off we went after making an appoint for a camera, he saw the tumpur on the camera they then booked him in for 4 weeks later for a biopsy/ last week we go the results and he was told over the phone it was cancer, they then went and had a mdt meeting and have called him for tomorrow tuesday 29.03.22 i have booked a day off for this, i am so worried he has gone through so much these past few years, he is expecting the worst i am more upbeat, hopefully it wont have spread and its something they can get rid of, just wanted to vent as i dont have that many people i can talk to about it .

    I saw from your post that your husband was due at the clinic earlier today. How did the appointment go? I hope that in amongst the information they gave you both today that they were able to offer some reassurance.

  • good morning jenn many thanks for your reply/ we went to see the consultant he has said that the cancer that was taken fromhis urether is superficial IE not a case to worry about, the cancer showed it was not spreadable, but only located to that area the bladder etc, what they intend to do is is do a canera every 3 months for a year and then move to 6 months and so on, but have said there is a good chance it will return. so they will decide what to proceed with if and when that hapens,. he was relieved more than anything, as you have visions of have this and that removed. and other not nice things but for now we will take that,
