new TNBC debating about whether I should do chemo?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with triple negative G2 breast cancer a month ago and had one mastectomy. Nodes are clear as well as CT and PET scans. I wondered if anyone in that same case had ever rejected chemotherapy after surgery and done green juice instead or other alternative treatment? I am still waiting for the BRCA1 &2 + PALB2 test results and am wondering what are my best options?

Any help is welcome. Thank you.

    Hi I was also triple negative but now I'm all clear of it,I was on chemo for a year had the op and radiotherapy I think you should have the chemo we all worry about the side effects but it is all worth it in the end,it did save my life.Not everyone suffers with the side effects,I felt a bit sick but nothing I couldn't cope with and also they give you anti sickness tablets,I did go for the gene testing I haven't got it just one of those things.Please consider having chemo ot isn't as bad as people say x

    Thank you for your feedback. Bless you. May I ask how long did it take you to get over the side effects of chemo? I understand that you can be very tired long after the treatment and that it can be challenging if you need to get back to work. x

    It didn't take me to long to get over the chemo,I'm still a bit tired but I carry on as usual and it was well worth it.Everyone is different but it really isn't that bad and to get good results after is everything x

    I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis but I'm glad to hear that your nodes, as well as the CT and PET scans you'd had, have come back clear.

    I noticed you were weighing up your treatment options so in addition to the good advice you've received from Fifa about their experience with chemo, I also wanted to make you aware of the risks that can come with alternative therapies.

    Some alternative therapies can be dangerous and cause side effects as they haven't been tested in the same way as conventional treatment. There is also no scientific or medical evidence to show that they can help to treat or cure cancer and they may interfere with any conventional cancer treatment you may have so do be sure to talk things through with your cancer team first.
